WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?

SAVE TIME

Stop wasting hours browsing for the right presets and stop struggling to recreate these sounds yourself. Stop settling for "eh, close enough... this will have to do...". Stop relying on the same old factory presets everyone uses.

STANDOUT

A hundred notes with a bad tone will annoy the audience, while one single note with the proper tone will send chills down their spines. You can cause a much bigger impact than other musicians by having better tones.

SAVE MONEY

It's easy to fool ourselves thinking "if only I had those other 10 keyboards, then I would have the sounds I need". You don't need 10 different keyboards to play Floyd, you only need one MIDI Controller. Any MIDI Controller.

BRING OUT EMOTIONS

Music has the power to communicate things we can't express with words. With these pristine sounds you can immerse the audience in a truly intimate experience, just like Rick Wright always intended to do.

WHAT'S INCLUDED:

Over 120 presets across 12 different virtual instruments from Arturia:

WHAT SETS IT APART?

FORGED IN BATTLE

Floyd Keys Deluxe was crafted and constantly refined during a period of over 5 years.

From December 2016 to the release date in September 2022, each sound was battle tested on stage and polished accordingly.

Latest update: December 29th 2023

"Wow, the keyboard sounds were fantastic, I felt like I was listening to the records!" - frequent feedback that I got after concerts, no exaggeration.

BEST OF BOTH WORLDS

You can see several keyboards in Rick's rig from the Wish You Were Here tour. Vintage analog gear is great, but it's also very sensitive to decalibration and damage, so imagine the weight of all of that gear and the massive effort to carefully carry all of that around on tour. Oh, and the maintenance.

With Floyd Keys Deluxe you will have maximum convenience:

1) No weight because the instruments and presets are software.

2) No tuning problems because digital pitch is perfectly stable.

3) Matching the instruments Rick used, only as software recreations.

4) All sounds safely stored as presets for instant recalling.

5) One MIDI Controller can do the job. Two would be optimal.

6) Lifetime Access, switch computers, switch controllers, it doesn't matter.

FREE BONUS .WAV SAMPLES

Intros, cues and other sound effects.

Playing Time or Money without the iconic introductions wouldn't be the same. The audience is really really familiar with those sounds, so to play Floyd live, those samples are kind of mandatory.

Some of these I found on the internet, some I sampled myself from the songs, some I made from other sound effects.

Neatly organized, leveled out volumes, convenient fade ins / outs.

All ready to use without any hassle.

* I don't own any rights to any of Pink Floyd's music, nor am I selling their content. These samples are free, intended to help out other musicians who want to play Floyd live.

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • What are the minimum requirements?

You only need to download Analog Lab by Arturia.

    https://www.arturia.com/products/software-instruments/analoglab/free

    * About computer parameters like processor and RAM memory, I recommend having at least an i5 with 8gb of RAM.

To use Floyd Keys Deluxe with 2 MIDI controllers at once, I recommend at least an I7 with 16gb of RAM. (this is what I use)

Allan's optimal pick: Macbook Pro, M2 processor with 64GB of RAM

For more info on computer requirements, consult the Analog Lab page from the Arturia website

  • What is Analog Lab?

Analog Lab is a hub for all Arturia software instruments from the V Collection. You can open it as a plugin inside of your DAW, or as standalone, and it can play sounds from any of the instruments.

There are 4 tiers of Analog Lab:

    Analog Lab PLAY (free)

    Analog Lab INTRO

    Analog Lab PRO

Analog Lab PRO + V Collection

The free version is enough to be able to import this sound pack.

    More information on their website:

    https://www.arturia.com/products/software-instruments/analoglab-v/overview

V Collection is a separate license that gives you further access to customize the sounds, but it's not a requirement to load and play Floyd Keys Deluxe.

  • What is the V Collection?

It's a collection of software recreations of legendary vintage keyboards and synthesizers made by Arturia. They sell each instrument separately, but you can get them all as a bundle for a much better price.

    * You don't need a full V Collection license to be able to import Floyd Keys Deluxe, though I recommend getting it because it's absolutely fantastic and worth it.

    https://www.arturia.com/products/software-instruments/v-collection/overview

  • Will this work with any MIDI Controller?

Yes. The sound engines of Analog Lab and the V Collection instruments are SOFTWARE, so the "brains" are inside of your computer. MIDI is a standardized communication protocol of digital instruments, and controllers ~control~ software or hardware instruments. You use your MIDI controller to trigger the sounds that are being processed in real time inside of your computer.

  • Does it work with previous versions of V Collection?

Yes. The only requirement being Analog Lab V, it works with previous versions of the V Collection.

With Analog Lab you can play sounds from any instrument from the V Collection, what the V Collection licenses adds is INSIDE ACCESS to CUSTOMIZE presets. If you have V Collection 8 you will be able to play ALL sounds from Floyd Keys Deluxe, but you won't be able to CUSTOMIZE a few presets like the Piano V3 presets and Prophet-5 V.

  • Can I store the sounds in my keyboard so I don't need to use a computer?

Unfortunately no. VST's are software instruments that run exclusively inside computers, so it's not possible to simply import the sounds into your keyboard.

  • How do I import the sounds after purchase?

    It's a very simple process.

    1) Open Analog Lab (sandalone or plugin)

    2) Click the icon of 3 lines on the top left corner

    3) Click IMPORT

    4) Select the Floyd Keys Deluxe Soundbank File

All of the files will be imported at once.

Further instructions on this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CkV1v254Xss

  • How do I play the bonus samples?

Samples are simple .wav files and there are several ways you can use them. Most of these are intended as one shot samples for you to trigger as special sound effects to enhance the Floydian experience.

The way I triggered these live is by adding them to audio clips in audio tracks on Ableton Live, then I mapped the play button for these clips to pads on my Keylab (Cmd+M takes you to MIDI assign mode).

There are other ways to use samples, I recommend that you take some time to research about sampling, it's worth it.

  • Only about 90 presets showing here, why?

Arturia recently released  V Collection X with a completely rebuilt Minimoog plugin, the Mini V4.

Floyd Keys Deluxe was released more than year before this launch, and has many Mini V3 sounds.

Mini V3 and Mini V4 are not backwards compatible.

To make sure you see all Mini V3 sounds you need to enable "Include Legacy Sounds".

    1) Click the "hamburger" (3 white lines) on the top left corner of Analog Lab

    2) Enable Include Legacy Sounds and you will see that the remaining Mini V3 sounds will appear normally.

    * I am in the process of remaking all V3 sounds on V4, though it will take some time. You will get all of these sounds for free, being a Floyd Keys Deluxe owner.

WHAT PEOPLE HAVE BEEN SAYING

WHO IS BEHIND FLOYD KEYS DELUXE?

Allan Lobo

Keyboardist / Sound Designer

I gave up my career in Biomedicine to follow my heart and work exclusively with music.

Long story short, I lived for a year in the USA and when I came back in 2016 a local Floyd tribute band invited me to become their keyboardist. I had to make up for my yet undeveloped playing by having outstanding sounds, so I taught myself sound design through the Arturia V Collection.

I make tutorials and other videos for Youtube, create premium sound packs for the V Collection and the Roland Fantom, and teach keyboard and sound design classes in Brazil.
